Monaco have already sold stars Bernardo Silva, Benjamin Mendy to Manchester City and Tiemoue Bakayoko to Chelsea for more than £120m in total.

Arsenal are edging closer to signing AS Monaco winger Thomas Lemar.

Monaco's vice president, Vadim Vasilyev has spoken about the situation of Fabinho and Lemar, other two players so requested among the big European clubs.

"We have kept all of the key players that we intended to keep", he told reporters.

The Sun claim that Monaco have finally 'caved in' and have reluctantly granted Lemar his dream move to the Emirates.

"The negotiation with Monaco is well on its a way, and a deal could be reached for around €50m [£44million]".

Speaking at a Monaco press conference, Vasilyev said: 'Fabinho and Lemar are essential players, they will stay with us'.

Lemar is Wenger's No 1 transfer target and it is claimed they are now closing in on a £45m deal. We have very great demand for Mbappé. We must give him time and not rush things. He's the biggest prospect in world football. The France international had been earmarked as Arsene Wenger's top option to strengthen the wider position this summer. Given the absurd prices being paid in England, particularly for British born players who help allow the team to keep a full squad by meeting the "homegrown" designation, the price seems almost like a steal. The 21-year-old was involved in a superb 31 goals last season, with his 14 goals and 17 assists coming in just 55 appearances for the Monegasque side.

"We are discussing an extension with Kylian", he said.
