With tensions between Riyadh and Tehran rising sharply since Saad Hariri's resignation as Lebanon's prime minister, President Emmanuel Macron made an unscheduled stopover to meet Saudi's powerful Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Thursday.

The French President said he and his fellow European leaders "are to blame" for the bloc's decay and more needed to be done to actually change the Europe for the better.

"We should be reducing our exposure to the region".

"There's only one place to shop this Black Friday - Walmart", Steve Bratspies, chief merchandising officer of Walmart U.S., said in a press release.

"The next leader of Europe... it would have to be that he gets to rule France".

In part, the fund serves as an extension of a 2014 collaboration between CDC International Capital, a subsidiary of Caisse des Depots, and Mubadala launched to support firms with "proven" growth potential, chiefly based in France.

He said Brexit summed up the EU "fatigue" across Europe.

The company announced the news this week, revealing that online discounts begin as early as Nov. 9, while in-store bargains start on Nov. 23 on Thanksgiving. Iran for one isn't buying it. "If a country like France tries to appease, the effect on someone like Trump will be contrary and will simply embolden the administration".

"I don't think this policy works", said a senior Iranian official speaking on condition of anonymity.

French officials insist Paris has a role to play in various international conflicts given its position as a veto-wielding member of the U.N. Security Council and its historical ties in the Middle East. They say that by remaining neutral, France will prove credible and consistent in the long-term. But it may not pay off.

Egypt has meanwhile received the first of four Gowind corvettes it ordered from Naval Group, the company's first sale of the monohull.

"But so far it seems that Macron and his team have been very distracted, in a hurry to announce big initiatives but delivering very little".
