O'Connell went on to thank the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, emergency services, security guards and fans "for their selfless acts of bravery while trying to help those in need".

Las Vegas shooter Paddock had spent more than 20 years plotting and hoarding guns for his devastating attack on innocent people in Las Vegas, the police have revealed.

Nevada police have confirmed that they have found 42 fire-arms of Paddock's, with 19 found in his home, and the further 23 found in his hotel room in Las Vegas.

Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo says Paddock first checked into the Mandalay Bay Casino and Hotel on Sept. 28 and was found dead inside a hotel room.

Even so, the rampage was reminiscent of a mass shooting at a Paris rock concert in November 2015 that killed 89 people, part of a coordinated attack by Islamist militants that left 130 dead. "This world is becoming the kind of place I am afraid to raise my children in", said Aldean, who is expecting a baby boy with wife Brittany.

In a third video, the beginning of the footage is partially obscured by a yellow vest that an officer seems to be wearing.

"Is that a firecracker?" a female replies, to which the man states: "No, it's gunshots".

"It's a very eerie atmosphere, there are very few people around". Instead, they were saved by a selfie - when they stopped by the New York New York fountain for a picture.

It took 72 minutes from the first 911 call being placed to when police eventually stormed Paddock's room.

'The bar shut the shutters and we all went into the kitchen to hide.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said that talk of gun reform was "premature", saying "Now is the time to unite as a country".

The concert venue was in an outdoor area known as Las Vegas Village, across the Strip from the Mandalay Bay and the Luxor hotels.

Some people who knew him also said he was "unstable".

"I may not go to big events, but just in general it will be alright", said Sibayan.

They gave no details on what his intentions might have been.

"As this investigation continues, we will continue to work with our partners to ensure that this is factually, thoroughly and absolutely investigated, to be able to bring comfort and peace back to this community".
