  • Arsenal make contact over dream transfer after star's agent is spotted at Anfield

Germany head coach Joachim Low has suggested Arsenal target Julian Draxler is not happy at Paris Saint-Germain but doubts he will make a deadline day move to the Emirates. 'They are convinced of his outstanding qualities'.

But Arsenal are equally adamant that, after Sunday's 4-0 capitulation to Liverpool, they will not risk further wrath from fans by selling the favourite without a replacement lined up.

"After a half season in France, the 23-year-old German international could be on the move again after all the additions made to Paris Saint-Germain's frontline", Amoyal wrote in his ESPN column.

The Gunners could certainly do with a player of his ability, though, and there have been a fair few Arsenal transfer rumours over the last few days suggesting that he is one of the players on the transfer wish list of Arsene Wenger.

"I chatted briefly with Julian yesterday and I cannot see one of our players moving today", he told the media.

The player's agent responded quickly to those claims, stating that he had a future in Paris, and that his club still wanted him.

However, Wright believes that it is too late for Arsenal to recruit a name such as Draxler - who may see the move as a step backward considering the lack of cohesion around North London. Barcelona have been pursuing Coutinho following Neymar's world-record over Euros 200 million move to PSG earlier this month.

"Why would Draxler, in this current climate, want to come to Arsenal?"

The Gunners have signed Bosnian defender Sead Kolasinac in a free transfer from Schalke 04.
