  • Seri doesn't believe he has played his final Nice game despite continued Barcelona interest

Seri has, however, made it clear to his employers that he doesn't want to stay at the Allianz Riviera this season after attracting interest from a number of big clubs across Europe, according to Mundo Deportivo.

JEAN-MICHAEL SERI has revealed his sadness at the fact his "dream move" to Barcelona will no longer happen.

Arsenal were not expected to be active in the transfer market before Thursday night's deadline but the imminent departure of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain may force Arsene Wenger's hand.

Does anyone care to decide which of the above it could be?

"I'm frustrated for him, because he's a very likeable young man, and he's very disappointed by the situation, something I can understand".

"I have spoken many times with (Roma's technical director) Monchi, but an agreement with Nice was not possible".

"The conversations between the two clubs went from bad to worse". I have not played this weekend with Nice because I do not have my head set on football.

It is understood that while Seri's agreement allowed him to join a club outside France for €40m, that did not apply for any domestic move and PSG therefore decided to offer substantially more.

"I went to the Nice offices to see the board and find out what happened".

Seri's focus is now to secure a move to another of Europe's big boys: "I want to sign [for] big European clubs, like Juventus, PSG, Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool", he continued.

Seri, who has a £36million release clause, remains hopeful of securing a summer move and name dropped two English clubs when asked about his future.

"The leaders of my club could not tell me anything, they could not even look me in the eye".

Ivory Coast midfielder Seri sat out as Nice suffered a fifth loss in six games across all competitions on Saturday, going down 3-0 at Amiens in Ligue 1.
